We said goodbye to Cagliari and drove West to Iglesias, a town with romantic streets and squeres. However, the biggest attraction is the street decorated with colorful umbrellas. And it's amazing.
The only UNESCO point of interest is famous island nuraghi Nuraghe Su Nuraxi, located in the heart of the countryside near Barumini. The most interesting part is the tower from the year 1.500 BC., to which more circular buildings were later added. The entire complex was built as a medieval fortress, however, it dates back to the Bronze Age. Entry is possible only with a guide.
The reason, why nurgahgi were bulit, is still not clear. This settlement could be a guard tower, a sacred area of ceremonies and a meeting point. There are over 7.000 nuraghi in Sardinia and thousands remain undiscovered.

We finished our day on the beach Is Aruttas. The arc of white sand and aquamarine colour of the sea, is one of the best beaches in the West. It is windy here, so ideal conditions for surfing, windsurfing and kiting.
We stayed overnight in Oristano and we were quite disappointed. We looked forward to stone houses, sunny squares, baroque streets and found dirty streets and one open restaurant, where we were not afraid to eat.
