Praha

Yes, I know the basic facts about Prague but after today's guided tour around the New Town and the Old Town, I realized I know almost nothing. I got some basic information obout my home town at school, but I was not interested in it at all. This has to change now.

Every time I travel abroad, I read all the guides to find all information about interesting places. I seem to know other European cities better that I know Prague. Shame on me.

Yesterday we finally found the time with Michal to make a guided tour around Prague. We could choose any part of the City and we decided for the Old Town. Anyway we saw a part of the New Town as well. We learned not only the basic information written in each travel guide but also "behind the scenes info" that cannot be found anywhere. Perhaps we will find some time in the spring to continue our tour. Our next steps will lead the Jewish Quarter. I am looking forward!

You can give the guided tour to someone as a gift for Christmas. Some time ago, I bought a map of Prague, add the guide contact and gave the guided tour to my parents as a gift for their wedding anniversary. They chose the date of the tour themselves and were excited more than I expected. If you do not know any guide, try to write Dagmar Markova, dagmar3m@seznam.cz, she will certainly help you.

I am looking forward to tell Ella about all the things we have learned . I want her to begin to realize that Prague is beautiful not only on the level of her eyes, but it is important to look down and up as well to feel the history all around.
